A Pathway of excellence

The Integrated Engineering Cycle is a 2-year program (Preparatory cycle for the Engineering Program). After passing 2 years’ of preparatory courses, the students of the CII program will be enrolled in the 3-year Engineering cycle. This program is oriented toward candidates who passed their senior high school studies in a science major (e.g. A Level, Huikao, French Baccalauréat…).

The international exposure includes two semesters of overseas study. Firstly, during the preparatory cycle, one semester of overseas study will be in China, the UK, the Czech Republic, Canada, Finland, Latvia, Croatia, Belgium, Tunisia, and South Korea. Next, during the engineering cycle, there will be another semester of overseas study in one of our 150+ partner universities worldwide.

A 30-seat class is open to English-speaking students with an excellent science level. The program is fully taught in English. This class follows the same pedagogical model, especially teamwork, and they study for one semester abroad during their second year.

Program

The preparatory engineering cycle (CII) program is structured around three teaching pillars to ensure a balanced development of skills:

  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Mathematics
  • Physics

Technical Sciences & Technology

  • Signal and systems
  • Group project in Electronics
  • Software (PYTHON)
  • Group project in  Robotics
  • A choice of future technical study

The objective of this 1-semester international experience:

  1. Learning differently in science, technology, and humanities

  2. Becoming independent

  3. Discovering other cultures

Innovative teaching methods

To train competent engineers who meet the expectations of companies and students alike, Isep uses the most modern teaching methods and tools, such as :

  • A robotics platform
  • A physics laboratory
  • Project-based learning
  • Small group work on concrete projects
  • A semester abroad (optional)
  • Possibility of an internship
  • Continuous assessment
  • English + compulsory LV2 (German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese)

It encourages a creative approach based on the engineering of simple systems.

Students benefit from a motivating pedagogical approach based on teamwork, which enables them to learn differently and become autonomous. It also enables them to discover other cultures, in particular through the choice of a compulsory second foreign language and optional international mobility.
